The New York Times (2/13, A21, Kolata, Subscription Publication) reports that in its recommendations, the ACP "did not address surgery.” Instead, "its focus was on noninvasive treatment.” In addition, imaging "scans... for diagnosis are worse than useless for back pain patients, members of the group said in telephone interviews.” Scan "results can be misleading, showing what look like abnormalities that actually are not related to the pain.” The new guidelines (2/14) were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
"PANDORA’S BOX” IN THE BODY
Far too
often, physicians will make mountains out of molehills by doing invasive
biopsies or surgery to remove abnormal masses or cell growths within the body.
The problem with this approach is that in many cases the otherwise harmless
cancer cells will spread and grow to other areas of the body. This is similar
to opening Pandora’s Box. Pandora’s Box
is the mythological story of all treachery and evils that could trouble mankind
upon opening the box.
There are
millions of people who have harmless cancer cells that remain stagnant in areas
of the body as long as they are left alone. For example, many women have
uterine/ovarian cysts or cysts within the breast glands. If these harmless
abnormal growths are left alone, most women will surgery, radiation, or
chemotherapy drugs to try and eliminate the cancer cells.
We
understand that harmless tumors and cancer cells may live in our bodies and
will not bother us as long as they are left alone. This is especially true when
you have the 6 criteria’s of health. There have been many reported cases of
patients making inquiry into a suspicious growth in their body. A poor decision
of surgically removing the growth is often made, and unfortunately, the growths
come back in even more places and at an advanced rate of growth. When your body
symptoms are good, do not make mountains out of molehills by opening Pandora’s
Box.
